Sinusitis More than 30 million people in the United States are diagnosed with sinusitis each year. Sinusitis is an inflammation of the sinuses causing nasal swelling and a buildup of mucus. This can lead to an infection or other problems. There are several types of sinusitis. Acute sinusitis which lasts up the 4 weeks. Subacute sinusitis which lasts 4 to 12 weeks. Chronic sinusitis which lasts longer than 12 weeks and can continue for months or years. Recurrent sinusitis which is several attacks within a year.
Chronic sinusitis affects both children and adults. Common symptoms include: nasal inflammation, thick discolored discharge from the nose, drainage down the back of the throat, nasal obstruction or congestion, causing difficultly breathing through your nose, pain, tenderness and swelling around your eyes, cheeks, nose or forehead, reduced sense of smell and taste, ear pain, aching in your upper jaw and teeth, sore throat, bad breath, and fatigue.
I disagree that you just have to live with allergies and recurring sinus infections! Runny noses, stuffy noses, sneezing, loss of smell, loss of taste, sinus pressure, frequent sinus infections and debilitating sinus headaches are all a response from your body letting you know something is up!
I suffered from all of this for over 13 years!! I initially took the conventional medical approach and had 3 sinus surgeries that didn’t fix the CAUSE of my issues! I was fed up and depressed.
It wasn’t until I found the wellness way approach that I got tested and found the root cause, healed my immune system and my gut! Now these “allergies” are a thing of the past and I got my smell back!
